As a joint replacement specialist, Dr. Haines Paik is driven to help you overcome disabling chronic joint pain and regain your function. Dr. Paik has extensive expertise in the latest techniques in advanced care for arthritic conditions of the hip and knee, and he is dedicated to working with you to make the best possible care choices for your needs and goals. He is board-certified and fellowship-trained in orthopedic surgery and specializes in hip and knee replacement and revision.

Dr. Paik graduated with honors from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. He went on to complete his orthopedic internship and residency training at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He later underwent additional subspecialty training in reconstructive joint surgery through the Otto E. Aufranc Fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine and New England Baptist Hospital in Boston. Dr. Paik is also certified in orthopedic surgery through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

A retired lieutenant colonel of the United States Army, Medical Corps, Dr. Paik has served tours in Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan. Today, he proudly serves the Grand Strand region in Myrtle Beach at OrthoSC’s Market Common location as well as in Murrells Inlet, offering care to help patients return to all the activities they have put on hold due to their joint-related pain.
