The region’s most preferred orthopedic practice, OrthoSC, is proud to celebrate the incredible achievements of its patients participating in Prescribe FIT, a virtual lifestyle health coaching program designed to help patients improve mobility, reduce pain and achieve lasting results through small, sustainable lifestyle changes. Through Prescribe FIT, patients are paired with a dedicated health coach who provides personalized, one-on-one guidance focused on nutrition, physical activity and healthy habits between appointments. This virtual support helps patients make gradual, achievable changes at home that address the root causes of orthopedic issues and complement their in-office care.

As of August 2025, Prescribe FIT at OrthoSC has enrolled 605 patients. Altogether, participating patients have lost over 5,500 pounds. These results highlight the program’s powerful impact on orthopedic health and overall well-being.

Key outcomes of Prescribe FIT at OrthoSC include:

• 79% of participants have lost weight.
• 303 patients have lowered their body mass index below 30.
• 185 patients have achieved a 5% or greater body weight loss.
• 15 patients reduced their BMI from over 40 to below 40.

In addition to these weight loss achievements, 77% of patients who completed the Prescribe FIT survey reported a reduction in pain and 66% saw improved mobility, further demonstrating the program’s success in enhancing overall function and quality of life.
