My Comeback Story: Lawrence Z.
It's been 5 weeks and 1 day since my surgery, and I am walking pain free (except for some swelling still) in my right knee. I was on the walker the first week, the cane the second week, and on my own after that. I did take my cane when we visited Mt. Airy North Carolina for 4 weeks after surgery just in case I did something that caused me to use it, but nothing happened. I am chipping golf balls and hoping to rejoin my golf league next week. Can't thank enough to Dr. Brothers, his staff, and the Ortho physical therapists Gabriella and Gianna in North Myrtle Beach for getting me to this point. A big shout to my wife Marsha who was my coach and made sure I did my exercises at home every day. I hope to get back to working on the ramp at MYR as well sometime in the next few weeks. If I can say anything to someone facing a knee replacement, it would be that the anxiety you feel before surgery is far worse than the recovery after having the procedure.
