  • “I was born with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis 46 years ago. My left ankle was just completely worn out! I had my ankle fused in a NC teaching hospital in January of 2016. We relocated to this area in April 2016 and as I was still having trouble I started searching for an ankle specialist. Dr. Pappas took 1 look at my x-rays and said he would take me on. My first appointment in July 2016 I was very impressed with the office, staff, Dr. Pappas and his assistant Belinda. As a former OR nurse, I knew what I was looking for in a professional. I found it in Dr. Pappas and his staff. He explained all my options from doing nothing to a complete revision(redo). I had my surgery in Sept of 2016 and am now on my road to a full recovery. Dr. Pappas took the time to answer my questions as well as my husband's. He was thorough and it is obvious he cares about his patients. I strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a foot and ankle specialist! Thank you Dr.Pappas and Strand Orthopaedics for your care, attention and competence.”

  • “I hurt my ankle in high school from dancing and severely spraining. I came to Dr. Pappas after having 1 ligament surgery with screws put in and 1 nerve reconstruction surgery already on my left ankle in DC. And I was still having pain. He had no idea what he was getting into but he took me on like I started with him and we tried everything to avoid a 3rd surgery. But we ended up having a 3rd surgery on my nerves and doing a nerve block. I still had a long road to recovery but I can finally say after almost 9 years I finally can move on with my life. All thanks to Dr. Pappas fixing the last nerve that was still causing me so much pain. I have gotten it to where it does not bother me that much and I am working out to strengthen the muscles around it without pain! Thank you so much Dr. Pappas for taking on a mess of an ankle and fixing me up!”

  • “When Dr. Pappas first suggested a TAR I was skeptical as my previous doctor has recommended against it. He made me a believer and thank the Lord he did. I am now 8 months down the road and this week I played 2 rounds of golf for the first time in over 5 years and they were pain free. I shot my best round ever at the course I played today and was telling my wife that I felt I was concentrating better than I had in a long time. She said " think about what you were thinking about for the last few years.....your ankle and not hurting it. Today you thought about golf". My wife is a wise woman. We have been shag dancing more and more lately which we had almost given up due to my ankle pain. Dr. Pappas truly gave me a second chance at an active life...THANK YOU!!!”

  • “Dr. Thomas J. Chambers replaced my badly damaged right knee on Nov 1st, 2016 and after the passing of 3 full months I am enjoying my life free from pain. Strand Orthopaedic Consultats, of which Dr. Chambers is affiliated, has an easily accessible modern office, has plenty of staff and gets you checked in quickly. There was little to no wait, but appointments are made sometimes weeks in advance. So, make an appointment sooner not later. Now is the time. If you suffer from arthritic joint pain, knee damage from sports or other injury from years ago, the technology is available to have a custom-made knee replacement. Dr. Chambers' team has established procedures using cutting block technology. Unbelievable, Smith-Nephew, the company who custom made my knee joint, also made a metal block with slots to guide the surgeon's cuts. The doctor's regimen of anesthetics, antibiotics, and post-operative prescription and non-prescription medicines was amazing. While I took the prescribed pain medication prior to physical therapy, ice packs handled the minor pain I experienced following. My knee is doing great. As I sit at my computer station, legs bent, under the desk, I have no pain. There is no need to suffer. I highly recommend Strand Orthopaedic Consultants and Dr. Thomas Chambers. They employ the latest technology, have an infection rate well below the national standard, and have perfected their regimen of treatment. In short, they offer the whole package. From my first consult, through the X-rays and MRI, operation, and follow-up check-up I had a totally positive experience.”

  • “Over three years ago, Dr. Chambers removed a metal on metal hip that I had replaced by another medical group. He gave me a Smith and Nephew, ceramic hip to replace the recalled metal hip. I work out with a personal trainer 3 times a week. There is nothing I cannot do; you would not know I have a hip replacement unless I told you. It is amazing, I have not had any problems The hip works just like a hip should work. I highly recommend Dr. Chambers, he is a highly skilled surgeon. I am now in the process of possibly having a right knee replacement. I put my confidence and trust in his hands.”

  • “As an incomplete quad with carpal tunnel in my only half way good extremity, my right hand, and needing elbow release, also, Dr. Everman worked with me to get me to the point of knowing I had to make a decision to have the surgery. I was reluctant and scared and cried going in to surgery knowing that I could lose a lot if things did not go well. However, my trust was with Dr. Everman, and even though I was afraid, I just knew that he would not fail me. I am happy to report that my trust was placed in the right hands. The surgery was successful and I highly recommend Dr. Everman not only as a top notch surgeon, but, also as a kind and gentle man. Can't get any better than that!”

  • “Hello Dr Everyman, I hope you remember me. I'm the one that was shot in April of 2016 and you had to rebuild my left hand. It still won't bend all the way and it's stiff but atleast I have a hand. I ask you on the way to surgery to please save my hand and you replied that you would try. You was successful and I'll always be grateful to you and your staff. You did an incredible job on me when all seemed lost to me and my family. I have sinced moved out of state but I wanted to say, Thank you from the bottom of my heart and I'll keep you and your family and staff in my prayers. Ever so grateful”
