Dear Patients:

OrthoSC is committed to ensuring the utmost safety and quality of care for our patients and our team. To help us ensure that we can maintain the safest atmosphere possible in our offices, any patient who knows that they have been exposed to another person with a confirmed case of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and/or who are experiencing the following symptoms, should not come into the office and should call to set up a specific timefor us to provide care for them.

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath

We are currently developing an orthopedic telemedicine option that we will deploy soon to allow patients to maintain uninterrupted care via virtual visits. In the meantime, we are screening patients and visitors when they call to schedule an appointment and when they come into the office for their appointment.

Patients who are displaying symptoms or who know they have been recently exposed to a confirmed case will be treated for emergent needs, but non-emergent needs will likely be asked to reschedule to ensure the safety of other patients and staff.

Any patient who believes that they may have been exposed or who is displaying symptoms is encouraged to take advantage of MUSC Health’s virtual care consultation/screening opportunity. More information can be found HERE and screenings are provided for free using the promotional code: COVID19. You can also call (843) 792-7000 for more information. MUSC Health Virtual Care can be accessed by phone, online, or through chats.

All of our offices remain open and available to serve the needs of our community, and we will continue to publish more information as we continue to adapt our office operations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and team. Thank you again for your patience, we look forward to serving you soon.

For your health,

To our patients,

As our communities continue to feel the impacts of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are reaching out to our patients to let you know what steps we are taking to keep our patients and team safe and healthy. Please know that we have protocols in place and are constantly monitoring updates from the CDC, SCDHEC, and our local public health officials to ensure that we are providing the safest experience possible.

As a part of our protocols, our offices have heightened their cleaning and disinfecting procedures to maintain a healthy environment. We have implemented screening protocols for both patients, vendors, and staff to ensure that we minimize the risk of exposure. We have implemented procedures to ensure the safe treatment of potentially exposed patients with urgent needs while minimizing risk to others. As the situation across our area continues to evolve, we will continue to adapt our operations to ensure your safety, and the quality and continuity of your care.

OrthoSC is committed to the communities that we serve, and we will be here to provide the exceptional and compassionate care that you have come to expect. All of our locations remain open and ready to serve you and your family.

Thank you in advance for your patience as we navigate this challenging situation one day at a time and determine how to best serve and care for our communities. We are working hard to keep our focus where that it has always been: our valued patients and team members.

Always for you,

Andrew Wade
