“After suffering for two years with left knee pain, trying everything to avoid surgery, I scheduled an appointment at Strand Orthopaedics. I met with Dr. Justin Brothers, x-rayed my knee and told me that to have long-term relief I would need to have a knee replacement. I agreed to the surgery but was a little apprehensive about the procedure. Dr. Brothers had a knee replacement seminar at HealthFinders at Coastal Grand Mall before my surgery, so I attended to learn more about the method and Dr. Brothers. I left there feeling very confident that I had the right surgeon and I was more knowledgeable about the procedure. Grand Strand Medical Center also had a 1-hour class that went over details for the system and how to prepare for it. It was also very informative and instructed those in the class on how to make for the surgery. The surgery went great. They had me standing up in the recovery room soon after the surgery! I was out of the hospital in a couple of days, went to rehab for six weeks, and was back at work the 7th week. I recommend this surgery to everyone with complaints of their knee and recommend Dr. Brothers as an excellent surgeon! The care I received at Grand Strand Medical Center was also excellent! I have had no issues with my knee since my surgery and am back enjoying life with my family, and especially my active grandchildren.”
“Having recently moved from Columbia, SC to Surfside Beach, SC, I requested my primary care physician to refer me to an orthopedic doctor. I received an appointment with Dr. Brothers in February. He ordered and examined x-rays of my left knee and stated that it was in bad shape. He listened to what I told him about previous treatments I had received in Columbia, SC that was effective and didn't require a full knee replacement. He administered a Synvisc one injection. The injection worked well, and I have had good mobility. I intend to request a follow-up visit in August and request another infusion. The office was efficient and patient-friendly.”
