Lorela Pengu, P.A.-C.

From a young age, Lorela Pengu has had a passion for medicine—a passion that has only grown stronger over time. She earned her bachelor's degree in biology from Coastal Carolina University in 2020 with the goal of building a career in healthcare. During her undergraduate years, she completed several internships at various medical facilities, including one with OrthoSC, where she was first introduced to the field of orthopedics.

Lorela went on to attend physician assistant school at Thiel College in Pennsylvania and later returned to OrthoSC to complete a clinical rotation. That month of hands-on experience not only strengthened her interest in orthopedics but confirmed it was the right path for her. She finds orthopedics to be both engaging and rewarding—offering the opportunity to help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and return to doing what they love. Being part of a team dedicated to improving patients' quality of life is something she finds incredibly fulfilling.

Outside of work, Lorela enjoys spending time at the beach, painting, traveling, trying new recipes, volunteering, and making memories with family and friends.
