What is telehealth?
Telehealth is the practice of using video conference and telecommunications technology, such as your smartphone or tablet, for a visit with your doctor.
How does telehealth work?
Your telehealth appointment is scheduled through your MyChart account. Click here for a complete list of what you will need prior to the date and time of your appointment.
What will I need for this visit?
To ensure that you connect with your physician, you will need the following:
- Smartphone or tablet that is used for teleconferencing
- High-speed internet connection (most cellular networks now qualify as well as home-based internet access)
On the day of your appointment, please make sure your device is sufficiently charged or plugged in; you can log in to your visit up to 10 minutes prior to the start time.
What is the cost of a telehealth appointment?
Telehealth visits cost the same as office visits and are a convenient alternative for some patients. Co-pays specific to your plan are accepted during the scheduling process.
Are prescriptions provided during a telehealth appointment?
Yes.
What if I am late for the appointment?
If patients connect more than 10 minutes late to their telehealth appointment, their appointment is canceled.
Can my child and/or teenager have a telehealth appointment?
Patients under the age of 18 must have an adult present during their telehealth appointment.
