OrthoSC to Offer Area's First Robotic Knee Replacements in Outpatient Surgery Center

The DePuy Synthes Velys Robotic-Assisted Solution is being delivered to OrthoSC’s Myrtle Beach facility Carolina Bone & Joint Surgery Center at 101 Surgeons Drive. This Velys robot is the first of its kind in the state and will be the first outpatient joint replacement system in the area. The specialty-trained joint replacement surgeons of OrthoSC will be offering knee replacement procedures using the new robot to provide enhanced surgical experiences for area residents meeting specific criteria for total knee replacement. With specialized training and extensive experience in reconstructive joint surgery, the joint replacement team at OrthoSC can use the Velys system to offer total knee replacement.
