  • “I met Dr. Leak for the first time when I broke my wrist in 2015. He was wonderful and the scar is so thin it is barely noticeable. In November 2016 I Fractured my Ulna Forearm and once again returned to Dr Leak I wouldn't think of having anyone else treat me. He is a great Doctor and has an amazing sense of humor. I recently moved from Myrtle beach but if I ever have any problems with my bones I will definitely return to my favorite Doctor. God bless you Dr. Leak an thank you so much for taking care of me.”

  • “I was referred to Dr. Merritt via Grand Strand ER. He did not know me, all he he knew was what the X-Rays showed him. He is a kind considerate man, understood the pain I was in and did his best to get me into surgery as quickly as he could. Unfortunately for me, I have to have the wires in my knee replaced. This is by no reflection on Dr. Merritt, trust me...if something is going to go wrong it will be me! Thank You for your skills as a surgeon and for being one of the good guys.”

  • “My 12 year old was treated for a possible foot and ankle break. I am very pleased with the care that he received and will definitely recommend Strand Orthopaedic to my friends. Dr. Merritt was very helpful and kind as were all of the nurses and office staff.”

  • “I went too Dr Merritt for my knee, knowing that I need a knee replacement. He explained everything very clearly, I told him I would like too wait so he suggested a steroid shot, the pain is considerably better I will receive another shot in September, this is the first break from pain I have had in several months. He is understanding very and kind. I drive 2 hours too see and it has been worth it. Will recommend him highly.”

  • “I was accidentally struck by a low bed shopping cart at Costco and went down onto the concrete. Upon striking the concrete on my right hip, the fall broke the ball of the hip. Dr. Merritt performed the operation at 11 o'clock that evening and I was in a rehab facility 3 days later and 6 days later I walked out of the rehab facility. However while at the rehab facility I contracted a infection that went to the bone and he had to do the operation all over again. He put me in contact with Dr. Powers, a Infectious Disease Doctor, and between Dr. Merritt and Dr. Powers I am in great health after going back to AGI Physical Therapy in Little River, SC where Matt got me back onto my feet again. If I did not have the expertise of Dr. Merritt and him knowing who to send me to I honestly don't think I would be in the good condition that I am in today. Kudos to all of you and your staff.”

  • “Due to a past injury to my ankle I have been experiencing chronic pain, inflammation, and weakness in addition to an open wound that had formed on top of the old surgical site. I have visited five other doctors who had all told me they had no idea what was causing the problems I was experiencing. Finally, I was referred to see Dr. Pappas. Within a few minutes during my first appointment he was able to diagnose the cause behind the wound and was able repair it within the next couple weeks. Thanks to Dr. Pappas and his team I am on the road to recovery after a year of visiting numerous doctors and not getting any answers. Thank you!”

  • “I was in a motorcycle accident in 2012 causing broken bones and a major laceration in my foot. Dr. Pappas and his staff was able to not only save my foot but it healed back to about 95% as strong as before. His staff and him kept me informed the entire process and treated me like a family member. He listen to my complaints and took action to help me cope. He listen to his patients like a Dr. should. He provided the best treatment i could have ever ask for. As of Nov. 6, 2015 im currently healing from yet another injury to two shattered heels and i am about to leave my doctor to come get a second opinion from Dr. Pappas asap.”

  • “I was referred to Dr. Pappas' office by my general practitioner for severe foot and ankle pain. After only a few visits, Dr. Pappas decided to perform reconstructive surgery for Charcot Syndrome and just go ahead and fix the problem instead of putting me through a lot of cruel and unusual "stuff" that was NOT gonna work. Surgery was the only fix. I would like to let anyone looking at Dr. Pappas and his group for foot or ankle surgery, look no further. I have been so very pleased with their care and down right cheerful attitude throughout the entire office. I prayed for a knowledgeable earthly healer and Dr. Pappas certainly is one.”
